belief in my candidate paid dividends...
Moving to a new industry sector can be really tough. A candidate of mine, however, wanted to do just this and change from publishing to telecoms. This can be very difficult as my employers prefer candidates who have experience of the telecoms sector. However, my candidate displayed exceptional ability, had a great track record and a very well-rounded and dynamic personality.
The Adrian Evans approach
I worked with the candidate and identified an employer that had a great culture where I felt she would excel. I had considerable confidence in my candidate and recommended she should be considered for the role of Channel Marketing Manager. My employer agreed but felt her CV lacked the experience of the three shortlisted candidates.
A perfect match
I had belief in my candidate and requested her application was put on hold whilst the interviews took place. Whilst the remaining candidates displayed excellent experience and had the requisite skills, none met the cultural fit of the company. I put my candidate forward confidently for interview. She studiously researched the brand and her creative approach displayed how she could add considerable value. Her initiative and exceptionally well rounded, dynamic and entrepreneurial character was identified by my employer. She was offered the position and successfully moved to the telecoms sector.
