This employer, who is a leading mobile handset manufacturer, was looking for an International Sales Manager. They required someone who had an excellent track record with a major global mobile brand, and possessed an entrepreneurial and global outlook.

I met with the CEO and discussed the role and the culture they were trying to develop. The successful applicant needed to have exceptional emotional and cultural awareness as they would be required to immediately start developing key business relationships the world over. I gained a thorough understanding of the CEO’s vision for the business and advised on a way forward. Whilst this advice had challenged the CEO’s thinking, it proved a vital interception. I immediately searched my network of seasoned mobile professionals and sourced four candidates within one week.
A perfect match
Three candidates were interviewed. The two that were shortlisted clearly demonstrated their exceptional communication skills and the experience required for the role. After a further round of interviews with the CEO and CFO a final choice was made. The selected candidate accepted the role and I made arrangements for him to meet a key South American contact of the employer. This was a hit the ground running time for my candidate, and he proved his ability with a great deal of panache. The candidate needed to relocate and I worked closely with him and the employer to ensure the transition was as seamless as possible.
